How it Works

Most of the best partnerships start with a conversation — not a proposal. Here's what to expect when you reach out.

  • Before anything else, we talk. This is a 30–45 minute call with no agenda other than understanding what you're actually working through- the problem, the context, the constraints.

There's no pitch. If there's a fit, it becomes clear in that conversation. If there isn't, I'll say so.

  • If the initial conversation warrants next steps, I put together a proposal that reflects the actual work — not a templated package.

What's the real problem? What's realistic given your timeline, team, and resources? What would make this successful? Those are the questions the proposal is built around.

  • Work is structured around what you need, not a service menu. That might be a defined project with clear deliverables, an ongoing advisory relationship, or something in between.

Most engagements combine strategic guidance, coordination support, and implementation-level thinking — depending on what the work requires.

Including: Project Based, Retainer/Advisor, Fractional Support, Coalition Facilitation

  • Rates aren't posted publicly because the scope of this work varies too much for a price list to be honest or useful. What I can tell you:

Project-based engagements typically range from $3,500 – $15,000 depending on scope and duration. Advisory and retainer arrangements generally start around $1,000 – $2,500/month. Larger infrastructure or systems-level projects are scoped individually.

If you're a smaller organization working within tight budget constraints, there may still be a way to work together. Whether that's scoping the engagement to what's currently feasible, or building in a compensation structure tied to any grant submissions we pursue together. I'd rather problem-solve that early than have cost quietly close the door.

  • Small and mid-sized nonprofits doing direct service work — organizations where the leadership is stretched, the team is focused on delivery, and there's little bandwidth left for strategy, partnerships, or planning.

If you're doing meaningful work in your community but can't step back long enough to think about sustainability, funding, or what comes next — that's exactly where this work fits.
